JUNE 11 & 12, 2021

Shakespeare's Macbeth

June 2021
Directed by Meg Sullivan

Macbeth and Banquo, generals in the service of King Duncan of Scotland, are returning victorious from battle when they are hailed by three witches who predict that Macbeth will become King of Scotland, and Banquo's descendants will be kings. Susceptible to dreams of power and glory, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth put aside all morals in order to fulfill their ambitions. After brutally murdering his way to the throne, and killing friends and foes alike, Macbeth becomes King of Scotland. Macduff joins with England to remove Macbeth from the throne, in order to avenge the murders of his family and to put the rightful heir on the throne.
