The Ovation Award is given to those students that perform in SIX or more Main Stage shows at Genesis. Once they acheive this milestone, their picture is hung on our theatre wall for ever and always. Ms. Neicole gives out the Ovation Award during our "Love Notes" ceremony, preceding the final performance of the show. Many tears of joy are shed, as students take a walk down memory lane, recalling how far they have come during their time at Genesis. It is a beautiful celebration and recognition.
These amazing students have completed TWENTY Main Stage Shows at Genesis. They embody hard work, dedication, and the essence of what Genesis represents. Achieving this award requires students to spend years developing their craft, to sacrifice free time in order to refine acting, dancing, & skills, and to act as mentors within the theatre community. This is the highest achievement at Genesis. Standing ovation awards are presented to the student following the final performance of their twentieth showand audience members are asked to give the student a "standing ovation" at the award presentation. It is a moving ceremony and extraordinary achievement for the these students.
