Prospero uses magic to conjure a storm and torment the survivors of a shipwreck, including the King of Naples and Prospero’s treacherous brother,Caliban, plots to rid himself of his master, but is thwarted by Prospero’s spirit-servant Ariel. The King’s son Ferdinand, thought to be dead, falls in love with Prospero’s daughter Miranda. Their celebrations are cut short when Prospero confronts his brother and reveals his identity as the usurped Duke of Milan.
First Round: Choose a 1-Minute monologue from the show to perform. You will submit your monologue video to the Google Classroom, link provided upon registration. Videos Due: November 30 by midnight. Early videos are welcome and encouraged.
Second Round: Callbacks will be held at Genesis on December 3rd, 1-5pm. Sides will be provided.
Read through: December 10, 5:30-9:30pm
You will be provided with a PDF of your script.
All rehearsals will be scheduled around cast conflicts, but will take place through January and February. Your spring calendar and conflicts must be submitted in your first round of auditions.
REQUIRED REHEARSALS: 1/20, 1/27, & 2/3
A parent & student must attend from each family.
Set Build: Sat, Jan 28 from 10AM-3:00PM
Srike: Strike will follow the final show. All cast & parents asked to stay for strike.
